Three Muses - Weather.....Or Not

The Three Muses challenge this week was about weather. I live in Northern California in the Sacramento Valley and it gets pretty hot here in the summer. So that's what I wanted to represent.

🌀 First I applied two color acrylics on the background and spread it around with a credit card. I admit, it didn't turn out super awesome. Oh well.

🌀 Then I ripped the shapes I needed for the sun and word "hot" from scrapbook paper and applied to my page using gloss modge podge.

🌀 After it dried, I outlined the shapes with brownish watercolor crayons and gave it some depth with blue watercolor crayons.

🌀 Lastly, I added some sparkle modge podge to some of the sun shapes and the word "hot".

It was fun to make. It was a little frustrating though, ripping out the shapes and I wasted a lot of my paper. But once I was finished, I was happy with the result. .
