Mixed Media Mojo - Lyric Inspired

I love Simon and Garfunkel. And so I was excited when I saw that Mixed Media Mojo had lyrics as a challenge so I could use S&G's lyrics in my art. The lyrics on my page are from the song "Flowers Never Bend With The Rainfall."

🌀 First I just watered down some acrylics in a few colors and painted them on my page.

🌀 After it had dried, I painted the lyrics on my page using 1/2 gesso, 1/2 pearlescent white.

🌀 When the words had dried, I outlined them with a dark blueish sharpie.

🌀 I cut out the picture of Simon and Garfunkel to match my frame and glued them in place together.

🌀 I glued on the metal leaf and flower. I also painted a little green around the rhinestone in the flower.

🌀 I used matte modge podge to put the ribbon on the page. I also outlined the ribbon with water downed blue acrylic.

🌀 Lastly I put sparkle modge podge on the flower and ribbon, to match the frame.
